Our President and CEO, Dana Newell participated in a 3 hour virtual training for NC Commerce leadership teams across NC on Friday, January 8. It was through this training that managers learned skills on how to tap into implicit and explicit bias through various methods. Each leader took the Harvard IAT Bias test and had homework answering questions on how they handle certain interactions when working or communicating with someone that’s different from them. A tool-kit was created by our team as a guidance to refer to if reinforcement was needeed.
